THE INFINITE

INFINITE HISTORY

The Origin of The Infinite

The Infinite” is a Chapter of the player organization called “The Raiders of the Lost Tavern” (ROTLT) that was founded on the Xegony Server of Everquest on August 9, 2000. Prior to the launch of COH, several ROTLT players managed to participate in the beta phase of the game. During that time, they formed a guild called the “Lost Tavern Heroes” which would be used as a platform to launch the COH Chapter of the Raiders of the Lost Tavern. On Monday, April 26, 2004 around 1:45 AM (13 hours and 45 minutes after the initial game launch), The Infinite was formed on the Pinnacle server by Stanz.

Transition of Leadership

The original leader of the Infinite was Stanz. He was also the founder (the person who applied for the supergroup name). After he left the supergroup several months after the release of the game, Johnny Pinkeye, the original organizer of the entire Raiders of the Lost Tavern association named Pink Wonder to be Stanz's replacement. Pink Wonder resigned as Infinite Leader on February 24, 2005, and Father-Time was soon thereafter named as the subsequent replacement.

How was the name “The Infinite” chosen?
The name “the Infinite” was chose by vote of prospective Members on the Raiders of the Lost Tavern Message Board. The other nominees were:
  • The Civic Minded Fifty
